Dharma Records was established in 2002 to run alongside its sister company Instant Karma. Dharma’s first release was the top 5 hit single “Mundian To Bach Ke” by breakthrough Bhangra artist Panjabi MC. This followed Instant Karma’s first top 20 hit “Daydream In Blue” by I Monster the year before. It has subsequently enjoyed success with a diverse oeuvre of artistic endeavour as its colourful catalogue of recordings (which now include those of Instant Karma) will testify, and continues to seek and develop artists with genuine talent and something to say. It remains committed to growing the value of its award-winning artists and repertoire through all media including film, TV and advertising. We don’t chase trends or follow crowds. We’re guided by our passion and love for great music. Our approach is and has been to build a rich and diverse catalogue that will resonate with a discerning and loyal audience.
