Dharwad Reads' is the first silent reading community of the city. A silent reading community is a group of people who gather together to read in silence. There are no set books to read or discussions to have, and members are free to read whatever they like. The goal is to create a space where people can relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of reading. We aim to promote outdoor reading and inspire people to experience the power of reading and spending time outdoors. Silent reading communities offer a number of benefits. They can help people to: Relax and de-stress Improve their concentration and focus Learn new things Meet new people who share their love of reading Experience the joy of reading in a social setting Some rules to follow : 1. Carry your own book/newspaper/magazine/kindle 2. You can carry a mat/yoga mat/folding chair as per your preference and convenience. It is a good idea to avoid digital gadgets like smartphones/laptops/tablets unless you want to read or listen to audiobooks on them. But please carry your Earphones/Headphones to avoid distracting others in the vicinity. Carrying snacks or beverages should be a responsible choice if made as the wrappers and plastic bags/bottles should not be littered.
