Die Mauer The Wall

The Berlin Wall Exhibition was founded in 2011 with the aim of renovating the GDR border watchtower in the Erna-Berger-Strasse and thereby saving what is probably the oldest relic of the Berlin Wall from demise. This not only gave rise to a series of very successful anniversary exhibitions on the history of the Berlin Wall in all its facets, but also gave rise to the idea of founding a museum of its own. The dream came true and exactly in the area that was once one of the busiest areas in Berlin and was then in the no man’s land for almost 30 years, we opened our new museum on Leipziger Platz in May 2020. For Berliners and for guests from all over the world.
