Digit Project

The Government of Croatia, through the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth's Digital, Innovation and Green Technology Project, supported by the World Bank, is seeking to address the gap in the policy mix and propel domestic digital and green technology creation. The Project strives to improve conditions for research, development, and innovation and with it Croatia’s standing in the digital and green transition. Through various grant schemes, project activities finance digital and green research and innovation, complement and enhance investments' effectiveness, and build institutions' capacities. The Project also supports reforms envisaged in the NRRP, the Smart Specialization Strategy, and activities important for the country’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. DIGIT Project not only helps to catalyze the transition, but also benefits Croatia's entire economy by improving the overall business environment for research and development, business growth, productivity, and subsequent job creation.
