Digital Schools Awards

Digital Schools Company is an independent not for profit organisation specialising in digital education programmes for schools. Digital Schools Co. operates the Digital Schools Awards education programmes to support ministries and schools to enhance their digital education practices. The programme offers a nationally recognized, independently validated ‘digital schools’ award for schools and it is open and free to all early years, primary, secondary and special schools to participate. A strength of the programme is its unique collaboration between government, education and the technology industry. In 2020, Digital Schools Co. was awarded Erasmus+ funding by the European Commission to lead a consortium of ministries, industry and education partners from five countries to explore a new European Digital Schools Awards programme focused on embedding the SELFIE tool within the programme. The pilot concluded in early 2023 and the Digital Schools Awards Europe was launched. More recently, Digital Schools Co. established a consultation for Digital Wellbeing in Schools. Wellbeing of young people is increasingly a subject of concern and is making its way into education policy in many countries. The Digital Wellbeing Award draws together up-to-date thinking on how to promote a whole-school approach to developing positive, constructive and resilient students in the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to maximise the benefits of digital technologies for personal, social and learning purposes.
