Digital Speak is a blog about home computing, information technology and of course the internet. Speaking a language anyone can understand in the digital age we live in. The aim of the blog is to provide information technology advice and guidance and cut through the technical jargon helping everyday users who find the digital/information age we live in all a bit daunting. We all use information technology whether it’s an app, PC, laptop, phone, Wi-Fi, computer driven devices in the home or anything else technology based. The big IT companies such as Windows, Apple and Google play a part in our lives and their operating systems such as Windows, Android and iOS are with us in day to day life via a web browser to the internet whether we realise it or not. Internet base services in the cloud including music and video streaming is also on the increase as the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Kodi software are growing in popularity. AI (Artificial Intelligence) is another growing market in entertainment and the home. Smart devices such as Amazon Alexa Echo, Echo Dot, Wink hub 2, Google Home, Hive, Nest, Logitech Harmony Elite, Echobee, Phillips Hue, Eufy Robovac, Neato Botvac, Robomow and Netgear Arlo pro to name but a few. Wearable technology in the fitness market is also booming with products such as Apple Watch, Fit bit (Charge HR, Blaze, Surge), Moov Now, Samsung Gear Fit 2, Garmin Vivosmart HR, TomTom Spark3, Jawbone UP3 and Huawei fit.
