DiKarabo Consulting is a 100% Black owned South African company that specializes in Procurement and Supplier Development. We uniquely combine industry experience and knowledge to assist in bringing together the drive & products from tier suppliers, incentives from Government to meet specific demands and requirements from OEMs. We understand that procurement done the right way can bring about cost improvement, improved supplier relationship, better stock and production management which improves the bottom line. We bring a decade worth of experience and knowledge to develop tailored solutions to improve overall business performance through procurement principles. We have found that there is a drive from Government and OEMs to develop and grow local supplier base coupled with suppliers ready to fill the gap. However, there is often lack of understanding of industry requirements from suppliers and to an extent Government support structures. OEMs often have constraints terms of supplying human resources to support development of suppliers, with those resources often stretched across the OEM’s supplier base. Often the expected returns from various resources made available by Government are not achieved to the level that can be because of lack of understanding the complexity of the industry.
