He has the uncanny ability to reflect ultimate masculinity through his strong menswear designs, and to equally express a captivating and self-assured femininity as he drapes a woman with fabric, style and confidence. Known as “one of the last great tailors,” Dimitri’s greatest vision is to carry on the artistry known as the ‘artigiano school’ [the mother of fashion] that is the heart and soul of fashion. It is his desire to pass on his considerable expertise to the next generation of aspiring, award-winning designers, by expanding their minds and talents to realize their full potential. He will nurture, define and lead them into the exciting creation, DIMITRI STUDIO. To accompany him on this inspirational and very important journey is his collaborator, muse and partner in life for many years, Karan Rushmore, who consistently inspires and challenges what she calls “his magician’s hand,” never ceasing to be amazed at his genius and energy. Also part of what is to be his continually evolving team, who live and breathe fashion with the kind of passion he requires in any person working with him, Dimitri has invited 3 designers, at this point, to join DIMITRI STUDIO, who he knows have the passion, the love for fashion and the uncompromising souls of true talent – Gazzelle Ciampi, Alessandra Tricoli and Glenn Williams. As it happens, they have each been assistants to Dimitri during different phases of his extraordinary career, and he finds they most certainly are some of the special ones. The opening of DIMITRI STUDIO and the introduction of the DIMITRI STUDIO and DIMITRI Signature lines will bring a fresh point of view to people who love style and beautiful clothing and may have never experienced the magical artistry of true couture design.
