Jane Anne McAllister was in the midst of raising her children when she established Dimples in 1992. She couldn’t find the practical, high-quality clothing she wanted for her babies, so started making them herself. She sought out quality fabrics and embroidered each piece by hand. Later, with the help of her entrepreneur father, Jane Anne turned her hobby into a business, building a reputation for quality New Zealand-made baby clothing. Dimples today 25 years later, we’re still using the highest-quality soft, warm New Zealand merino and pure organic cotton to make our wide range of baby clothing, blankets, and accessories within our Dimples range. Although NZ-Made babywear is still our focus, we also offer a range of beautiful organic baby clothes from Little Bee by Dimples. In the Summer of 2020 Little Bee by Dimples was born. Designed in New Zealand and made in Bangladesh, we continue to grow Little Bee with each collection. Offering a range of beautifully bright patterns and colours Little Bee by Dimples is made using Oeko-Tex Certified Organic Cotton. Our Newmarket boutique, opened in 2006, stocks an extensive range of Dimples clothing, and a carefully chosen selection of quality baby products from other brands. 2021 was a year of growth for Dimples, in December we opened our first store in the South Island located in Sydenham, Christchurch. Much like our Auckland Showroom Dimples Christchurch offers an extensive range of carefully chosen quality baby products. As we continue to learn and grow Dimples is looking forward to seeing where this journey will take us next. Jane Anne still runs the business, and several of her daughters are involved as well. There’s also a constant supply of grandchildren to model – 25 and counting. Within our Dimples range we are still committed to creating 100% New Zealand-made baby products, using the best fabrics available, to make sure your baby is warm, safe, and comfortable in those precious first years of life.
