Din-Eco Project

Digital innovation has radically changed the nature and structure of new products and services. The challenges that societies face are many and complex. To address them, social, political and economic agents of modern societies (such as Higher Education Institutes-HEIs, governmental bodies, businesses) need to demonstrate proactive entrepreneurial behavior and creativity in the definition of digital strategies that address economic and social needs. HEIs of the consortium, along with the support of their professional partners (Fondazione Fenice, A.B iED, Foundation), will work towards creating new processes or improving existing ones that concern management of intellectual property rights, exploitation of research results in digital technology, digital health and biomedicine, digital manufacturing and enhancement of the use of digital tools in the innovation development process. The DIN-ECO project will support the implementation of Digital Innovation Vision Action Plans (DIVAP) by HEIs of the consortium. Through the DIVAPs, the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of the participating HEIs will be increased and enable their integration into European innovation value chains and ecosystems. DIN-ECO is supported by EIT Digital as part of HEI Initiative program of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT)(cohort 2) and is funded by the European Union. The HEI initiative aims to support HEIs with expertise and coaching, access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, the largest in Europe, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual HEIs.
