The Rathcormac - Fermoy Bypass opened in 2006, is located in the South-West of Ireland in County Cork, approximately 15km north of the Dunkettle Interchange on the M8 Cork to Dublin route. Toll applies to the 17.3km section of the M8 between Junctions 14 (Fermoy North) and Junction 17 (Watergrasshill). On June 11th 2004, the National Roads Authority signed a Public Private Partnership Contract with DirectRoute (Fermoy) Ltd. DirectRoute (Fermoy) Ltd is a special purpose company that has been formed for this project and is owned by funds managed by 3i, TIIC and Aberdeen Infrastructure.
