Welfare & Well-being We provide relevant and accessible information, advice and assistance to maximise entitlements and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their life. We support people with disabilities and carers to live life as independently as they choose and to improve their overall health, well-being and quality of life. Skills & Opportunities We use non-formal learning to improve personal development, create opportunities, encourage independence and break down barriers. We provide individuals with a tailored programme of personal support and training to help increase confidence, build self-esteem, maximise opportunities and work towards achieving realistic life goals. Challenge & Change We actively work towards and campaign for the removal of the many barriers both real and perceived that people with disabilities face in their everyday lives. We encourage decision-makers and service providers to promote a positive attitude towards disability focussing on what people with a disability can do as opposed to what they can't. We work closely with other organisations to campaign for disability rights and improved services. We actively support and encourage disabled people to be involved in consultations both locally and nationally that deal with issues that could impact their lives.
