Discentes

Discentes is the official undergraduate-run Classical Studies publication of the University of Pennsylvania. Discentes publishes work by both Penn students and students from other academic institutions, in the fields of classics, ancient history, reception studies, and archaeology. Since its inception, the publication has consistently featured a variety of work, including research papers, discussions and analyses of archaeological excavations, and original translations of both ancient Greek and Latin texts. Through its newly-established online presence, Discentes now publishes other forms and genres of writing that engage with the ancient world, including interdisciplinary or reflective pieces, artwork, multimedia projects, and other work regarding topics in Classics that ventures beyond the scope of a traditional research journal.
