Discovering Dementia, a podcast hosted and produced by Penny Bell, began in 2017 with Penny's mum talking about her recent dementia diagnosis. Penny started to research what she could do to help her mum and the more she found out, the more she thought it might be helpful to share what she discovered with others who may be interested and perhaps going through a similar experience. The podcast won Gold for Best Wellbeing Podcast at the British Podcast Awards in 2021.
