Disken & Co

Disken & Co. began life in September 1961 as a branch office in Dewsbury of the Leeds firm of Wooler & Co. In 1968 when the firm of Wooler & Co. amalgamated with Dibb Lupton & Co. the Dewsbury office became known as Disken Wooler & Co. In 1971 the practice became an independent practice and from then on was called Disken & Co. We moved to our current premises at 20 Bond Street, Dewsbury in September 2002. In January 2004 Disken & Co. merged with J. Bryan Smith & Co. and our trading name is now Disken & Co. incorporating J. Bryan Smith & Co. J. Bryan Smith & Co. had offices in Leeds, Wakefield, Ossett and Dewsbury but at the time of our merger only the Dewsbury office remained. We do still hold a large number of deeds and wills previously held at all four former J. Bryan Smith & Co. offices. Our basic philosophy is simple: to put our knowledge of the law and its procedures and our experience and judgment at the service of our clients in such a way that they get good value for money and that we are paid for what we do.
