Disruptive Media was founded in 2017 to broaden the conversation on workforce diversity – shining a light on talent that is often unseen, underestimated or overlooked. We do this not only in the name of equity and fairness, but because unlocking untapped talent groups can help close skills gaps and unleash economic productivity. Organisations increasingly understand the business value of diverse talent, but true diversity goes beyond what we can see. It’s about embracing differences in background, experiences and perspectives – many of which are invisible. Underrepresented groups aren’t always identifiable by physical traits but face their own unique challenges and barriers in the workplace. Employers that recognise and value this talent unlock not just human potential, but measurable economic impact. Our mission is to accelerate workplace inclusion for three often-overlooked communities: the Armed Forces community, the LGBTQ+ community and the neurodiverse community. Through large-scale events and content-driven award platforms, we work to ensure their skills, perspectives and lived experiences are not just acknowledged – but actively valued as drivers of innovation and growth.
