Distinctive AFWS Designs, Inc.(DDi) has been serving public and private U.S. entities with reliable automated flood warning systems for 30 years. In over 20 states DDi has installed and/or maintained over gauging stations, established over 300 computer base stations, and pioneered hundreds of emergency plans and procedures for public and private entities across the nation. We believe the key aspect of a successful automated flood warning system (AFWS) is the integration of multiple components designed to work together like a strong chain of links. This “chain” must include more than your standard water level gauging stations, computer software, and alarms. It should also include reliable data, stakeholder and public participation, quality response plans, and ongoing quality oversight and maintenance of all these components—all of which are services DDi offers above and beyond the standard hydro-meteorological gauging systems.
