Diversified Benefit Services was originally formed as Professional Resources Organization Insurance Marketing Inc. in 1979. Since 1984 they have done business as Diversified Benefit Services, Inc. DBS specializes in total compensation and benefit planning for employees and executives, business continuity and financial and estate planning. In 1993 Diversified Benefit Services, Inc. and the retail division of Byron H. Johnson Insurance Services, Inc. merged to better serve their clients in the particular areas of expertise maintained by the principals. Diversified Benefit Services is licensed as a Life and Disability Insurance Agent and is licensed as a Life & Disability Insurance Analyst under the California Department of Insurance, Code Sections 1626, 1627, and 1836; California License Number 0624372.
