The novelty goods wholesaler Dixie Souvenirs was started in 1993 by Alan Davidson who was a collector of genuine USA number plates. On one of his visits to the USA he saw the potential for novelty number plates in Australia, and started up Dixie. The current owner of Dixie Souvenirs since Oct 2010 is Colin Slark Marketing Pty Ltd, a small private family company operated by Colin & Marilyn Slark since 1996. We wholesale different Aussie Plates, US Plates, Signs and Flags from Australia's largest range and our website is our catalogue and has a ‘shopping basket’ facility. Our customers are typically stores specialising in 'blokey' gifts, car enthusiasts and collectors, as well as market vendors and online gift-stores."Design Your Own" plates are our speciality and we can do anything (legal) from ‘one-offs’ or runs of hundreds of sequentially numbered plates for rallies, clubs or fleets. We also custom make Number Plate Frames to compliment the Plates. We manufacture from Aluminium using the same company that’s been producing and selling Government quality Plates for many years. Dixie’s plate sizes are the same as those on a normal vehicle, and have embossed characters and an embossed border. The US Plates, Collectors Signs, Street Signs, are all Licensed Products complying with Copyright Law, and supplied to us by the most bona-fide dealer in Sacramento.
