DMY Berlin is an international platform for contemporary product design, founded in 2003 by a network of leading creative thinkers from the Berlin design scene. Annually, DMY presents the DMY International Design Festival in Berlin. Both renowned and young, experimental designers launch new products, prototypes and foresighted projects. A wide program of symposia, designer-talks, workshops, satellite exhibitions and an award ceremony accompany the central exhibition. The exhibition and numerous events showcase the latest inventions and current developments in contemporary product design and reflect the future tasks of design and its related disciplines. As a breeding ground for young designers and a unique business platform for professional designers and companies, the festival has organically grown into a key event for contemporary and conceptual design. With international exhibitions and activities in Europe, Asia and South America, DMY seeks to unveil unconventional ideas and innovative products that go beyond the mainstream.
