Doctorsupdates has been providing ‘EDUCATION IN A PERFECT LOCATION’ for over 27 years. The meetings take place in the Alps in winter and in the Algarve in autumn. The following specialties are represented during the conference: Anaesthetics, Critical care, Pain Medicine, Radiology, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, General Practice and Dermatology. There are both specialty specific academic programmes and also many joint academic sessions. There is no doubt that the introduction of several different specialties side by side in a congenial location has provided a unique opportunity for exchange of ideas, problem solving and networking.
