Dona Kolors

Dona Kolors is an innovative Social Enterprise in Barcelona, giving people with risk of social exclusion new opportunities via sewing. We offer our mainly immigrant women a chance for integration into the Spanish labor market. The project consists of two parts: education and enterprise. In education women are trained as seamstresses and taught how to work as self-employed entrepreneurs from home, or find a job in the industry, as well as prepared to one day work for the enterprise. The enterprise focuses on producing beautiful fashion and home accessories. Designed and produced in Barcelona, our products are handmade and each piece is unique, thanks to the beautiful and colorful fabrics used. The project was born within the centre of social attention Lloc de la Dona in charge of the educational program. This centre is run by the religious congregation Hermanas Oblatas.
