DONEFY Result Management DONEFICATION (duhn-fi-kay-shuhn or duhn-uh-fi-kay-shuhn) The art and science of moving results from a state called desired to one called donefied in either of the two areas of human experience; Living and Lifing (including business lifing). Where done refers only to a state of completion, donefied is a state where the result as stated is no longer needed because it has either been accomplished, deemed to be no longer desired, or some combination of these. This leaves room for adaptation based on new discoveries. LIVING, which applies only to people, includes the things we must do to stay alive. LIFING, which includes business lifing, covers the things we choose to do to build the life we desire. This effectively negates the notion that we should strive for a work-life balance since work, whether it is writing a weekly status report, paying taxes, mowing the lawn, chauffeuring the children’s carpool, painting a masterpiece, or simply watching the sunset, is part of both living and lifing. Instead, our efforts should be focused on decreasing the amount of work we must do while increasing the amount of work we choose to do. ART because the way a person donefies a thing may not match the way others donefy that thing. SCIENCE because there are known ways for donefying many things.
