Double Knot Kennels (“DKK”) has a simple dream, the world would be a better place if every home has a dog, and every dog has a home. DKK is committed to offer minimally invasive canine research utilizing dogs available for forever homes rather than dogs only intended for testing. Most research kennels utilize dogs intended to spend their entire lives in a kennel. Beagles and Labs are the predominant breed used in Pharma studies because strict protocols as to size and breed are needed to meet the study requirements. While this plan may be necessary for Pharma level standards, we do not believe it is the most humane method to conduct most companion animal and pet food research.
