Double Nickel Entertainment is a New York-based film and television production company led by partners Jenette Kahn and Adam Richman. Known for producing Clint Eastwood’s GRAN TORINO—the most successful movie of his career—Double Nickel specializes in character-driven stories with bold, resonant themes. Their latest release, THE BURIAL, starring Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and became one of Amazon Prime’s most-watched original films, earning a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Double Nickel's next release, in partnership with Sky Cinema, is GROW, a family perennial about a young pumpkin-growing savant. Directed by John McPhail (Anna and the Apocalypse) and starring Golda Rosheuvel (Bridgerton), Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz), and Jeremy Swift (Ted Lasso), the film was shot in Scotland and will be released globally in October 2025. Double Nickel’s past credits include A KID LIKE JAKE (Sundance 2018), THE BOOK OF HENRY (dir. Colin Trevorrow), and the Goya-nominated LA CHISPA DE LA VIDA. On the TV side, they’ve sold series to Apple, NBC, and Warner Bros, and have worked with top creators including Terence Winter, Rajiv Joseph, and Neal Baer. Prior to forming Double Nickel, Jenette Kahn served as President and Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics for over 25 years, where she introduced the graphic novel to America and helped launch Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The Dark Knight Returns, and dozens of other iconic titles. She was also the publisher of MAD Magazine and a trailblazer in creators’ rights. Adam Richman has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to co-founding Double Nickel, he ran production and development at MPCA, produced ten feature films, and co-created Building Career Foundations, a longitudinal study taught at business schools worldwide. He has worked at HBO, The Onion, Strat-O-Matic Media, and UTA. He sits on the Board of Directors of Strat-O-Matic Media.
