Dougans International was established by Inge Dougans in 1986 as a parent company for subsidiary companies; The International Academy of Reflexology and Meridian Therapy (Pty.) Ltd.(IARAMT), Vacuflex Concepts, Magnetic Healing and Dougans International Publishing and Products. Inge Dougans qualified as a Reflexologist in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1983 she began teaching Reflexology in South Africa and established The International Academy of Reflexology and Meridian Therapy (Pty.) Ltd.(IARAMT). The IARAMT offers a Diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology, as well as individual courses, in a modular credit-based system. We also offer our courses via Distance E-Learning. Incorporating the Chinese Meridian Theories and Philosophies and the uniting of Western and Eastern insights into the Meridians and the Five Elements has given the IARAMT a high reputation worldwide for its unique approach. The Dougans International Vacuflex Concepts combines a vacuum boot therapy together with vacuum cups to give a dynamic treatment with the combined benefit of a full reflexology treatment and stimulation of all the major meridians. Dougans International Magnetic Healing helps to restore depleted magnetic energy levels in the body and maintain good health by stimulating the biochemistry of the body.
