Downtown Hackensack

The Main Street Business Alliance (MSBA) is a Special Improvement District (SID) public/private partnership formed as an alliance between the business community and the city of Hackensack. Governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, the SBA is comprised of commercial property owners and business owners who are elected by the members of the district, along with liaisons from the Hackensack Chamber of Commerce, the Johnson Public Library, and the City Council. With the conversion of Main Street to a two-way street and nearly residential units under construction or in the approval process, the SBA is well-positioned to fulfill its mission of revitalizing the Downtown Hackensack area. While also shifting their continued focus to clean and green programs, marketing special events, district visual improvements, merchant retention and recruitment of businesses. Stay tuned.
