Downtown Wealth Studios (DTWN) was started to provide an alternative model for Advisors who feel discomfort or distaste for the sales-driven, money-oriented, carrot-and-stick focus of the wealth management industry. DTWN empowers financial advisors as creators and entrepreneurs focused on human service rather than production goals. We use the analogy of the “Art of Wealth Management” to counter the bean-counting, bureaucratic, and bland culture and system of traditional wealth management models, as well as to inspire the creativity and passion of the Advisor as artist. “Downtown” came to life during time spent with clients in New York City’s SoHo and Miami’s Wynwood neighborhoods – both bursting with creative energy and excitement. “Our work requires creative ideas curated for individual human beings – ideas and passion to match our clients’ creativity and passion for their lives and work – rather than commodified, force-fed client solutions delivered from the corporate boardroom for the benefit of management stock option plans.” We have stripped away the bureaucracy and conflicted incentives to invest in the advisor-entrepreneur-artist who desires the freedom to craft personal and authentic solutions for their clients while building up the authentic life, brand, and practice they are passionate about. All with the support – rather than competition - of like-minded colleagues.
