Dr Jonathan Young

Formerly known as Northern Orthopaedics, the clinic of Dr Jonathan Young (B. Med, F.R.A.C.S, F.A.Orth A.) is located on the Esplanade in Warners Bay, easily accessible from Newcastle and surrounding areas. Since 1994, Dr Young’s mission has been to provide his patients with quality orthopaedic surgery and care, specialising in treatment of Hip and Knee Arthritis and sporting injuries. Highly trained and with a number of international fellowships behind him, he is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at four Hunter Region hospitals, and past Director of Orthopaedics for Hunter New England Health at John Hunter and Belmont District Hospitals. His experience in specialist procedures makes his services unique in the Hunter and Northern NSW regions. He has particular skills in robotic knee replacement and anterior approach hip replacement, acl reconstruction and given his time in the profession, general orthopaedics. Dr Young is happy to provide an opinion on all orthopaedic problems, regardless of a patient’s insurance status. He believes all should be able to access quality, respectful and honest advice.
