Mike Pilar, DDS American Academy of Craniofacial Pain Practice Limited to the Treatment of Temporo-Mandibular Joint Disorder & Migraines Dr. Pilar’s expertise is to treat patients suffering from migraine headaches, jaw joint disorders and head and neck muscle pain. His highly effective, non-invasive treatment program is designed to treat the source of painful symptoms of temporo-mandibular joint disorder, TMD—more commonly called TMJ. These painful symptoms may include head, neck and shoulder pain, eye/ear sensitivity, stuffy nose, dizziness (imbalance), blurry eyesight, jaw pain and clicking, ringing in the ears, grinding or clenching of teeth and migraines or chronic headaches. Since 1997, Dr. Pilar has limited his practice to the treatment of TMD and migraines, and lectures on TMD awareness to physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners of Rockland County and local community groups. Dr. Pilar uses two state-of-the-art protocols influenced by both eastern and western medicine to treat muscle-nerve disorders of the head and neck.
