A former professional opera singer, Sarah Nisbett learned how to draw by sketching strangers during her daily commute on the New York City Subway. A totally self-taught artist, she’s turned her hobby of drawing “on the way” into a successful Instagram account and blog and now, a book! Sarah's Drawn On The Way project is dedicated to helping people find the extraordinary in the everyday and to see themselves and others as works of art. With her new book, Sarah hopes to not only inspire people to see the world anew, but to give them the tools to creatively engage with their world - even in just a few moments while they’re “on the way.” Through her expressive, minimal illustrations and paintings, Sarah is creating an artistic movement of self- acceptance, awareness, empathy, and curiosity and showing people that when you make art about the world, you make the world yours.
