Dreadlocks Pride’s purpose is to change the negative stigma directly connected with dreads through education and a STRONG social media presence. Social media platforms have proven itself to have the ability to inform & connect with people worldwide; this is our mission. We want to create an online community where like-minded, passionate, dreadlock enthusiasts can learn more about the origin/history of dreads and how this all-natural hairstyle has been connected to religions, cultures, traditions, and social movements. Dreadlocks aren’t just a hairstyle, it’s a lifestyle. This lifestyle has caught fire and is “trending” at an international speed. Unfortunately, it’s trending in a generation that has forgotten the history of dreadlocks and have completely lost its context. We want to change that. History is important and knowledge is power. We’ve sourced hundreds of dreadlock relevant books and literature written across the world to develop a prominent, trustworthy library of gathered wisdom all in one location. Locking is a beautiful journey shared across all demographics and cultures that unites people without prejudice.
