Dreamwaves

We are a team of experts passionate about impacting people’s lives with easy-to-use and intuitive high-tech products. We focus on making 3D audio solutions that are accessible to everyone, developing inclusive and leading technology. Founded in 2019 by Hugo Furtado, Dreamwaves is a tech startup based in Vienna and Lisbon. Its initial idea came from Hugo’s Ph.D. research in medical imaging, developing a catheter's visualization system for cardiac surgery. He realized the potential of augmented reality to create a digital layer on top of the physical world, supporting people in different tasks. Hugo’s passion for sound design and music made him realize how sound was still an uncharted territory within AR. Dreamwaves combines those two passions, exploring the possibilities of how spatial audio and AR can impact people’s lives. Dreamwaves has grown since then, bringing together experts from diverse fields and different parts of the world to design and develop innovative products.
