The shutter bug bit me especially early. My father enjoyed photography and I studied his original prints which adorned the walls of our basement growing up, a basement he built specifically with gallery lighting. Then in high school while attending a 1994 Richard Avedon exhibition something clicked; I too wanted to capture images, like the ones that had made an impression on me. I then borrowed—and proceeded to abuse—my father’s camera for photography classes where I first started training my eye. After studying film and visual aesthetics in college I was longing to pick up a camera again and did so a few years ago. Since then a small photo blog I created started garnering me some unsolicited gigs. Not just a camera-for-hire but the eye behind it, I am excited to offer my creative intuition and photography skills to your family, wedding, concert or company.
