Druglink

Druglink provide specialist substance misuse services targeted at: Prevention, Recovery & Reintegration. We take an active role in education and currently run scheduled & bespoke training courses, locally & nationally. In addition we facilitate community training sessions in partnership with UK Police Forces. Druglink view education as the key to prevention. We also run a number of projects aimed at easing and supporting recovery. These currently consist of: Oxygen, a person-centred, 9 bed, detox and rehabilitation unit; Clarendon Link, a drug support dropin facility, offering a range of practical support & advice services (a needle exchange; access to shower/laundry facilities, basic food provision, access to comp. therapies, relapse prevention); Focus, a counselling service, specialising in addiction; Supporting Herts, a housing-related support service connecting service users with appropriate community resources, helping to achieve stable housing & retain tenancies; and Outreach, a 1-to-1 service, providing individualised recovery support to people progressing towards harm minimisation and reduction or those who are abstaining from substances. Druglink view personalised support as the key to recovery. It’s essential for individuals to develop the skills and confidence needed to re-enter society. Druglink run Coffee Ethic, a social enterprise, which in partnership with a number of local councils, provides ex-users with a route into sustainable work. Coffee Ethic offers volunteers the ability to gain invaluable work experience and recognised / certificated training opportunities. Druglink view community engagement as key to reintegration. Druglink’s objective is to have a significant and positive impact on the lives of those misusing substances (drugs and alcohol), their families and the wider communities in which they live. Druglink do this by providing a diverse range of both proactive and reactive services depending on service-user needs.
