Dsc Technical High School

Technical High School was established by the Delta Steel Company Limited in October 1983. The school was established with the following objectives in mind To provide qualitative secondary school education for staff children and children of the host and neighboring communities To provide a sound technical training for children of staff who would possibly take over from their parents in the company after completing their university education To absorb the output of the DSC primary schools. To achieve the above objective, the school started as a comprehensive secondary school with a wide variety of subject especially in the area of technology from inception therefore, the school has been offering such subjects as Wood Work, Metal Work, Basic Electronics, Applied Electricity, Technical Drawing, Computer Sciences, etc. these are in addition to the regular subject offered in other schools. To attain the standard that the founding fathers of the school had in mind, a seasoned school administrator was engaged as the pioneer principal of the school, Barr. I. Okodugha (JP) OF blessed memory who became the first principal of Technical High School was at various times principal, Sapele Technical college, Benin technical College and a top shot in the Ministry of Education in the defunct Bendel State, Late Barr. I. Okodugha brought his wealth of experience to Technical High school and did not disappoint his employers. He established a system that ensure inculeation of learning and discipline in the students and subsequent principals have been building on the foundation he laid. In its 30 years of existence, the school has had 5 principals as follows 1. Barr. Ishazobua Okodugha (JP)- 1983 – 1994s 2. Mrs. Koshare C. Omo-udoyo - 1994 - 1996 3. Sir Abraham Abiodu Ogowewo - 1996 - 2003 4. Deaconess Esiri Moughereh - 2003 - 2010 5. Mrs Mary-Rose O. Ojukwu - 2010 - 2017
