DTU Engineering Technology is a Department at Technical University of Denmark. As a term, engineering technology describes a highly practice-oriented field within research and engineering education. Innovation and implementation of technology are central aspects to DTU’s work and to the University’s benefit to society. By bridging the gap between university and society, DTU Engineering Technology contributes to this through its close collaboration with industry and its focus on the practical application of the research and innovative solutions. DTU Engineering Technology actively works with technology implementation and engineering companies at both student and employee level. We have a strong track record in university-industry collaboration, and through our research projects and approximately 500 graduation projects and 500 student internships with industry per year, our hands-on and cross-disciplinary approach to technology transfer and solving real-life industry challenges is an important part of our DNA. With a strong profile in engineering education, DTU Engineering Technology helps to realize DTU’s ambition of offering Europe’s best BEng programme and lifelong learning. Educating BEng students and professionals with special, sought-after practical and vocational competences is key to everything we do. DTU Engineering Technology focuses on offering education based on the classical disciplines of engineering linked to the newest technology. We incorporate real-life challenges in the courses to increase the innovative capacities of the students, expose the students to external companies, and provide these companies with new solutions.
