Duo Evernia

Evernia, a name borrowed from a genus of lichen, is a duo formed in 2020 by Héloïse Thouément (a chemical engineer and environmental engineer) and Julie Escoffier (a visual artist). Together, they offer new paths for thinking about our time and bear witness to the transformations of our environment. Héloïse Thouément's expertise lies in the transport and degradation of pollutants in the environment. Julie Escoffier, on the other hand, graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon in 2013 and was awarded the Kenza Foundation's scholarship for higher studies (Institut de France), with which she completed a post-diploma in Mexico.(.) Their projects combine scientific and artistic knowledge, appropriating the territories in which they are immersed, with a particular interest in their living ecosystems and ecological issues.
