Durban Bagii

Durban Bagii translates to 'carrying bags' in Dulguburra Yidinji woman and Durban Bagii creator Carly Wallace's 'Yidiny' language from the area of Yungaburra in Far North Queensland. Durban Bagii offers hand made woven creations using traditional and contemporary fibres to create earrings, baskets, dilly bags and more. Durban Bagii is also available for fun and interactive contemporary weaving workshops that teach participants basic coiling and weaving techniques, enabling them to walk away with a woven creation, whether it be the start of a basket, a bracelet or a set of earrings. Durban Bagii would like to pay respects to the Traditional custodians whose lands Durban Bagii Weaving is created on, the Yuggera and Turrbal people in Brisbane (Meanjin), Queensland.
