Since 2010, the Dutch Design Workspace is a fully integrated creative industry consultancy firm dedicated to helping foreign design brands start their business in China. Our support consists of three main elements: Workspace: Plug and play creative office space in the centre of Shanghai. Support: Tailored business consultancy services, and strategic brand representation in China. Events: Creative business events programme that accelerates your network development. DDWS is a model for co-development. It provides a business community of diverse companies that can mutually benefit from each other’s creative resources. This unique mix makes it possible to form cross-disciplinary partnerships to better address the challenges of the Chinese market. We offer a plug and play solution to accelerate your creative business in China. DDWS has been founded by the Dutch government as part of a unique Public Private Partnership programme called DutchDFA. It involves the Dutch ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economic Affairs, Education Culture and Science, as well as all Dutch Sector Institutes related to creative industry and innovation. Our years of experience have led us to develop several pragmatic instruments to help our clients. This includes the Dutch Design on the Move pop-up exhibition, the Dutch Design in China Yearbook, the Dutch Design Showroom, the marketing platform Dutch Design Works and the pre-selected Pool of Local Experts.
