Sometimes in life you need to find yourself again. Go away from all the obligations, and the expectations. Life is too beautiful to let it just pass by. Stepping back from your day to day life is like a life extender, we know. Ten years ago we quit our jobs to travel for a year. Back home, a lot of people asked us for the most beautiful place we have been. But there is no such thing. It is the way of traveling that makes it the most beautiful day, week, month or year. Knowing that the time is on your side, is a luxury that makes you able to be really open towards other people, cultures, nature, and most of all towards yourself. One year of traveling felt like three years of celebrating life. It made us more balanced and therefor stronger persons. That year of traveling, we promised ourselves to step back from the day to day life on a regular bases. We do not want to postpone things that are really important for us. We want to travel now we still can. We decided to buy a camper. This gave us even more freedom. And off course it is also a romantic idea, traveling with your own tiny house. First we bought an old VW camper-van, but it had his restrictions, and we started thinking of how our most ideal camper would be like. Small enough for a regular parking place, and big enough to have everything we need. So our second camper became a customised camper built in a Citroen Jumper van. We enjoyed this camper for 4 years, before new ideas began to pop up. Would a 4WD not bring us even more freedom? These ideas resulted in our latest asset, an Isuzu pickup truck with a customised built camper-unit on top. We’re loving it!
