Founded in 1994, DVB counts manufacturers, software developers, network operators, broadcasters and regulators among its members. The truly global standard for digital television, DVB specifications are used on every continent and in every country, with more than 1.5 billion DVB receivers in use. DVB specifications are commercially driven and maximize the use of common solutions across broadcast – satellite, cable, terrestrial – and broadband networks.
