Improving the lives of those living with dementia, their families and carers through individualised communication programmes DysisCare is a consultancy specializing in the assessment of those living with dementia and their communications needs. Every individual is unique, their experience of dementia and it’s affect on them will be different in each case. Using conversational analysis to assess the communication needs of each individual the DysisCare team will develop a person centered communications strategy, developing tactics that family and carers can use to improve interpersonal activities. People living with dementia do not loose the ability to communicate, the words they use may change but they still can and want to interact socially with family and loved ones through inter-personal contact. The challenge to achieve this does not sit with the person living with dementia but with those around them. DysisCare not only develop the individual communications plan, but work actively with families and organisations to implement, train and support them.
