We have an 'English in 80 Videos' course for people learning English as a second language, with interactive resources that give instant feedback. In addition. there are also 8 books, paper or digital, with each covering the grammar and vocabulary that appear in the videos. The materials can be used in class or for independent study and allow learners to work at their own pace. You will see from our material that our underpinning approach to these courses is that they are intended to supplement the learners' classroom experience. They are not intended to replace a teacher. The materials are intended to be a supplementary resource to aid learning and are intended to reach a wide-audience and thus are thematic and skills based, exposing learners to the English language in a holistic way. These courses are intended to promote self-studying through guided learning aims. The resources are an aid and are crafted to guide learners through a self-discovery and explorative methodology; a method which promotes independent study and allows learners to monitor their own progress and build awareness of their own areas of development without overloading a learner’s cognitive load. Feedback is instant. The resources are engaging and if students enjoy what they study, they are not only more likely to complete it but to remember it as well. Our videos are thematically based and present target language and structures holistically. Post-video tasks are skills-based and scaffold learning, building learners' knowledge and language skills through a word, sentence, and text level structure.
