Eaco Uganda

We are a community Based Organization providing economic empowerment, access to clean water, educational opportunities and support for the disadvantaged groups of people of Uganda. EACO (Empower and Care Organization Uganda) was established to address the limited educational and economic opportunities that exist for vulnerable groups of women and children in Mukono District. The gender roles of the African society brings about a burden to mainly the women and girls since they are faced with a number of challenges like seeking for water for domestic use at long distances, economic dependence on their spouses making them prone to violence against women/ girls, exposure to diseases such as HIV/AIDS among others. As a result, EACO has come in to help ease this burden by promoting economic empowerment mainly through bee keeping alongside other vocational and life skills training, provision of access to clean water by construction/rehabilitation of boreholes/ wells in the communities of Namanganga, Kasala, Kyabakade and Lugali village all in Kyampisi sub county in Mukono District, advocacy for human rights for the victims by involving other legal organizations in the fight against violence against women/girls.
