Easy Read Training

Being informed and being supported to understand information helps us grow. It helps us see what is possible, what our choices are. It empowers us. Converting complex text to the Easy Read format is a powerful way to ensure a wide range of readers see and understand your message. Easy Read retains the intention of your communication while eliminating complicated and often redundant text. We want to teach you how to create Easy Read information. We are Bev and Sarah, co-founders of Easy Read Training. We want to support people with disabilities to have good lives, and our course is one way we aim to achieve that. After a combined fifty-five years of working with people with disabilities, their families and human service organisations, we've seen first-hand how accessible information can support people. We believe that Easy Read information about all sorts of topics – wellbeing, self-advocacy, going camping, disability supports, life’s needs and wants – can make a positive difference in someone's life.
