We live in a generation where the term ‘local’ is thrown around in such a loose fashion. When vacationing, we may eat at local restaurants and shop at local stores in an attempt to sample a bit of the surrounding culture only to feel what we received is tasteless, generic, and bland. Many times the food we are served has traveled farther then even ourselves. Let’s cut the miles out of our meal and taste the local culture. “Eat Drink Local” is a campaign to promote the communities that choose to be different by purchasing from local farms, fishermen, breweries, and wineries. We are a locally sourced food finder! We make it easy for you to find locally sourced food wherever you are. We do this through the use of our iOS app, website, and Facebook. We describe the benefits of each below. Our app increases communication between the area’s local producers, businesses, and end consumer. Our notification system notifies our users of many events that happening in the local area. From your favorite local brewery unveiling their latest concoction, to a new restaurant opening up across town, we’ll keep you up to date with whats happening on your local community.
