EatWellWorx Registered Dietitians, led by Dr Sandra Koen, PhD Registered Dietitian, provide Nutritional therapy and Dietetic services at 2 of the major Rehabilitation Units in Johannesburg, Gauteng, as well as hosting awareness days around the prevention of chronic diseases of lifestyle. They are constantly developing nutritional educational resources to inform other medical professionals, patients and the general public and to create awareness on how to prevent and/manage chronic diseases of lifestyle, such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and hypertension and improve health and well-being. Recovering from critical illness or serious injury can be a slow, difficult process. Nutritional support can play a key role in aiding recovery and improve health outcomes with the help of a specific rehabilitation diet plan.
