Eboracum was founded in 2011 and established in York by local-lad and former North Yorkshire Police Constable Carl Nickson. What started as a family run business has now developed into one of the area’s leading and go-to Security firms, with over 100 staff working mainly in the Greater-York area. Whilst adhering to our original ethics and values, we have a genuine passion for Security and are always working hard to raise the bar in the industry. Eboracum are extremely proud to run the ‘Street-Ranger’ project in York on behalf of the 'Business Improvement District'(BID) since 2016. Our Ranger’s help to deter Anti-Social Behaviour, Low Level Crime, offer a friendly face to visitors and provide a fantastic service to the BID levy payers. In 2024 and as a direct result of the hard work conducted in York, Eboracum won the tender to provide the ‘Street Ranger’ service in the centre of Newcastle working closely with ‘NE1’. We work closely with strategic partners in the centre of York & Newcastle and look forward to developing our working relationships. As well as Security Guarding, we also offer a number of other services including Cleaning, Keyholding, Alarm Response, Holiday Let Support, Taxi Marshalling & Litter Picking. In 2017 Eboracum won the tender to provide Security & Facilities Management at the ‘Vangarde Shopping Centre’ in York and also work very closely with LNER. We constantly measure our business performance through KPI’s and critical success factors. This allows us to maintain continuous improvement and helps us to continue raising the bar in our Industry. Our SMT (Senior Management Team) have a wealth of experience and knowledge, not just in the Security Industry, but also working as front-line Response Police Officers, Loss Prevention, Retail Management, Marketing and Founding & Running Businesses. We collaborate with and support other security-based and crime prevention initiatives and are keen to support charities and good causes.
