Empire is a brand based in Athens, Greece run by designer Alice Marie Hajipanayi. With a history in music and a passion for couture she has partnered with her husband, a well regarded tour manger in music, combining both fashion and music careers subsequently inspiring the brand identity and the creation of each collection. T Mixing 70’s couture and casual Parisian-street chic, with a touch of bohème, this collection is up-scale and casual with basic wardrobe must haves. Maxi dresses, sheer blouses, skinny leathers, boho-chic blazers and coats, jumpsuits, short dresses and beautiful hand-crafted leather bags. The look? Underground/feminine/sensual/luxury. Her playful style expounds immaculate tailoring with a dynamic feminine edge. She is always loyal to using luxurious, high-end textiles that wear beautifully and give the clothes an adaptable styling of a ready to wear look for the day or a chic evening look for a night out. Sheer silks, chiffon, high-tech stretch silks, Napa leather, soft suede, prints, cashmere, ‘Chanel’ wools and raffia. Empire’s silk dresses and much-loved knitwear pieces are much sought after and are met with a surge of excitement at the shows. In 2010, Alice Marie opened the doors to the global market at the spring - summer 11’ show in Paris and is now selling in up-scale boutiques in Europe, Australia, and the US.
